Сочлененный городской автобус с высоким полом. Принадлежит ко второму поколению стандартных автобусов VÖV и является прямым преемником O 305 G. Вариант одиночного автобуса был доступен под названием O 405 .
Прямым преемником стал низкопольный автобус O 405 GN , выпускавшийся с 1992 года, но производство высокопольного O 405 G продолжалось параллельно до осени 2001 года.
