The 113 is so important to the brand that it was chosen to be honored for the company's 60th anniversary in Brazil, celebrated on July 2, 2017. The special edition launched paid homage to the legendary Scania 113, launched in 1991, and one of the most famous trucks on the roads.

The models R 440 and R 480, Highline Streamline versions, were chosen to represent the 113. Both were sold in the classic blue color of the 113, and also featured the iconic side stripes in pink, lilac and purple, and stickers commemorating the 60th anniversary and the Scania 113.

The 60th Anniversary Special Edition had a promotional video released on social media on March 11. March was also chosen to honor the 113, making an analogy with numbers. It was the starting point for the launch of the special edition.
