07 JUN 2013

In May, Agrale S.A. began producing tractors at its plant located in Mercedes, a city in the Argentinean province of Buenos Aires. The first unit to come off the new production line is the model BX 6.110 from the 6000 Line, which is Agrale’s most powerful tractor. The tractors will begin to be sold this June at Agrale dealerships in Argentina.

The production of tractors in Argentina is part of Agrale’s international expansion strategy and the result of the US$12.5 million investment plan announced last December, which included the installation of a second vehicle assembly line. The objective is to complement the Mercedes plant with the production of tractors and to expand bus and truck chassis production to meet the growing demand for Agrale products in Argentina’s domestic market.

The Agrale plant in Argentina began operating in late 2008 with the production of bus chassis, which was complemented in 2009 with chassis for light trucks, with the plant already surpassing the production of 4,000 units. The company has over 40 years of experience in the Argentinean market, where it has reached high market share and built an excellent reputation.

The Agrale 6000 Line of tractors is recommended for use on large farms. With models from 110 to 168 hp, the 6000 Line also features cabins designed for greater comfort and more internal space for operators and also enjoys an excellent reputation in the market for good economic and operational performance and ease of maintenance.

In Brazil, in addition to the 6000 Line, Agrale also produces the 5000 Line of tractors with 65 to 105 hp, as well as the 4000 Line of micro-tractors with 15 to 36 hp, which are designed especially for small-scale family farmers.
