Одна из первых автомобильных компаний Великобритании, которая специализируется на производстве исключительно спортивных автомобилей. Основателями компании AC Cars Ltd были Джон Веллер (John Weller) и Джон Портвайн (John Portvine). В 1911 году была переименована в Autocarriers Ltd, а в 1922 году снова в AC Cars Ltd. С 1987 по 1992 год AC входила в состав Ford Motor Company, и потом снова оказалась в частном владении. В 1996 году компания вступила в состав Pride Automotive Group Inc.
